
Open Farm Sunday is the farming industry’s national open day! Farmers across the UK invite you to explore the wonderful world of farming by opening their gates and encouraging visitors to experience life on a working farm.
This year we have lots of fantastic demonstrations for you from a variety of sectors across the industry, including:
-Dave from Embryonics, will be teaching us ‘All About Cows’
-PC Gilbertson and PC Stone from Cheshire Rural Police will be on hand to answer your questions
-Tom Ryan and his team, who will be showcasing their super-quick sheep shearing skills
– S.J.Baugh will be demonstrating how our milk gets to the factory in one of their milk tankers
-Discover the story of milk in our guided parlour tours
-John Hood, our agronomist, will be be explaining what we grow, why and how here at Stockley
-Photo opportunity on a vintage tractor
-Members of the Cheshire Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers will be demonstrating just how versatile wool can be and holding workshops for you to take part in
-Nick Johnson will be showcasing his bees and helping to explain their amazing world
-Meet and greet sessions with Sarah Ford’s award-winning Shire horses
-Our very own Pam and Gary will showcase their beautiful birds during their legendary Bird of Prey Display!
